I first started investing in Bitcoin in 2018. So I can be called a late adopter.
But the sure thing is that I started thinking about it three years before.
I had many concerns and it was hard to make that decision, even thou I saw a fund manager on my side making money in not just Bitcoin but other Cryptos.
We were at a conference in Menlo Park, California, United States. I saw his phone and Coinbase account and he had - in my mind, if I recall correctly - the amount of 100 thousand dollars or more invested in Cryptos, including more than 10 altcoins.
I can call myself a technology guy, being able to create platforms and online businesses from zero, so I tried to learn the more I could and get into it as an outsider.
To me, it was the future and if I could have just a little part of my savings on it, it could go to zero and make almost no difference… however, if it exploded, in the future, that little could increase and be substantial.
When you see an opportunity and you have some knowledge of risk exposure, you should make the decision and go for it. So that’s what I did. I went right away to Coinbase to set up an account…
